Going Global

In 1947, the Congregation undertook its first mission outside the United States when six Sisters went to India to provide health care to those in need. The following years saw SCNs at work in schools, adult education centers, community development projects, hospitals, a school of nursing, outpatient clinics, and a flourishing novitiate program. In 1975, Nazareth Sisters went to Belize; in 1977, to Nepal; and in 2000, to Botswana.
